Our background screening is handled by Certn (certn.co), a leading background check technology company trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide. Certn provides fast, thorough, and compliant screening that meets the highest industry standards.
Every sitter undergoes the following checks:
The sitter completes their profile and pays the one-time verification fee.
Certn sends the sitter an email to complete their background check, including criminal, identity, and watchlist screening.
Once the sitter passes the full screening, they are verified and can accept bookings.
Every sitter you see on Hello Marshy has passed a thorough background check. You can book with confidence knowing your sitter's identity and history have been verified by an industry-leading provider.
All verified sitters display a "Verified" badge on their profile. This badge means they have completed identity verification and passed their background check through Certn.
Sitters pay a one-time $35 verification fee to cover the cost of the comprehensive background check. This fee is non-refundable once the screening process has been initiated. The fee includes the full background check, identity verification, and all registry screenings.
